The UN expects the current decade to be the hottest in history

This was stated by the United Nations World Meteorological Organization (WMO), reports DW.

According to WMO, as of the end of October, the average world temperature was 1.1 degrees Celsius higher than at the end of the pre-industrial era and at the end of the 18th century. Therefore, 2019 will be the second or third hottest year for the entire time of observation.

By 2100: UN Secretary General has outlined a mission to save the planet

 At the United Nations Climate Conference in Madrid, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has identified clear tasks for saving the planet.

“We need to cut greenhouse emissions by 45% by 2030; reach carbon neutrality by 2050; and limit temperature rise to 1.5 rise by the end of the century [by 2100]” – said Guterres.

The European Union will spend 21% of the budget to beat climate change
