We just came back from ClimateLaunchpad 2019 Global Grand Final which was held in Amsterdam, Netherlands on November 14-15. And Carbominer reached the Top 16 at the ClimateLaunchpad worldwide competition!
ClimateLaunchpad is one of the world’s largest green business ideas’ competition. They look for cleantech potentials that address climate change.
How was it?
Among 2,601 applications from 53 countries, 150 projects were chosen to go through to the Semi-Finals. Teams were divided into 8 rooms and made their pitches during the first day of ClimateLaunchpad.
The following morning, we discovered the names of the finalists. And Carbominer was one of the top 16. During the afternoon, we and the other finalists made our pitches.
Although we didn’t take first place, it was a nice experience. As well as being able to pitch our idea to the world on a global stage, in these two days, we made acquaintances with a bunch of amazing business projects, potential partners and investors.
What’s next?
Under the terms of the of ClimateLaunchpad competition, all of the top 16 teams will go on to the EIT Climate-KIC Accelerator. This is the EU acceleration programme focused primarily on climate impact and supporting cleantech startups. We are really looking forward to going there!s
