Carbominer raises a round from the SMRK fund

Carbominer has attracted a seed investment from the Ukrainian venture capital fund SMRK VC.

We will use the funds to create industrial modules for capturing carbon dioxide from the open air. Capture units in the form factor of a standard shipping container will be located next to customers’ greenhouses.

We are also hiring now to expand our production department.

By the end of 2020, we plan to develop the first modules and place them for pilot testing nearby greenhouses.

We are also looking for partners for entering European market in 2021. Among our goals are Spain, Netherlands, Turkey and other countries with a developed greenhouse industry.

What we do

We are a Ukrainian hardware startup that develops technology for capturing carbon dioxide directly from the open air. Our company’s business model is built around the sale of the produced CO2 to commercial clients. The main target customers are greenhouse operators that use carbon dioxide to boost growth of their products.
